Groebenzell, 04.08.2022 (PresseBox) - BRESSNER Technology, a leading provider of industrial-grade ruggedized embedded computers, announces an update for the SEMIL-1700GC series, which now supports the NVIDIA® RTX A2000 Ampere GPU card. The fanless IP67 hardware enclosure, which originally supported an NVIDIA® Tesla T4, can now offer the same GPU performance at a much lower price.
SEMIL computers are designed for military ruggedness, withstanding environmental and climatic factors such as high chemical exposure or weather conditions in seaports, food and chemical plants, production lines and more. They offer a durable and reliable performance for AI and inference processing at the very edge. Furthermore, the system features a patented monoblock stainless steel and reinforced aluminum housing with specifically molded O-rings. These material properties add to its extreme sturdiness and resistance to water, dust as well as corrosion. Moreover, the system operates at an efficient thermal level of up to 70°C, or, with CPU and GPU under full load, up to 62°C without any performance degradation.
In addition to a sturdy exterior, the system is equipped with rugged M12 connectors meeting MIL-STD-810G requirements for environments with intensive shock and vibration. The embedded system offers numerous I/O options, including 802.3at Gigabit PoE+, VGA, USB, COM and optional 10-Gigabit Ethernet ports. Support for 8 to 48V wide range DC input with ignition control and EN-50155 also makes it best-suited for automotive applications.
"As a pioneer of edge AI hardware, BRESSNER and its partners are committed to pushing the boundaries of industrial embedded computing to bring artificial intelligence processing power out of the labs and into the real world. Given the recent chip shortage, the addition of NVIDIA® RTX A2000 support brings more flexibility and cost efficiency," said Gabor Paxian, senior account manager at BRESSNER Technology.
