Reutlingen, 02.03.2023 (PresseBox) - With the PPC2 series, ICP Germany expands its Panel PC portfolio for industrial use. In addition to the high-performance PPC2 series with Alder Lake processors, ICP offers an entry-level series with the Elkhart Lake Celeron® J6412. The PPC2-Cxx-EHL series is available in 4:3 display format in sizes of 8", 10", 12.1", 15", 17" and 19" and in 16:9 format in 15.6", 18.5" and 21.5". The PCAP touch screen supports wet and glove operation. The Elkhart Lake processor offers sufficient performance for daily computing needs with four processor cores, a base clock of 2.0 GHz and a turbo frequency of 2.6 GHz. Compared to the predecessor, the performance has been increased by up to 1.7 times in single-thread performance and by up to 1.5 times in multi-thread performance. The Elkhart Lake processor generation is designed specifically for IoT edge devices and offers features for IoT, real-time performance, and functional security, among others.The 8GB DDR4 memory is pre-installed in the dual channel slot. Storage media can be installed in the 2.5" HDD/SSD mounting bay or the M.2 slot with M Key. M.2 2242/2280 with B-Key, M.2 2242 M Key, HDMI, Dual 2.5 GbE, USB 3.2 Gen2 (10Gb/s), USB 2.0, RS-232/422/485, RS-232, are available for connecting further peripherals and add-on cards. The panel mounting kits have been revised and allow installation without tools. The new graphical tBIOS is designed for operation and adjustment without the use of additional keyboards. The PPC2-EHL series can be operated with 12 to 24 VDC voltage in a temperature range from -10 °C to 60 °C. On request, ICP Germany supplies the PPC2 as a ready-to-use system with industrial storage medium and operating system.
